Alex came up with the brightest phrase, which Fran thought was perfect. But they still had to convince me to say it out aloud.

“There are only two things that he could do after you say those words to him either he’d laugh at you or get mad,” Fran said.

I breathe hard, summoned all my strength before I had the courage to approach him. Alex followed me to a certain point to show me her moral support.

Then finally, I approached him and said, “Sir, matagal ko ng gustong palitan ang mug mo. (I wanted to replace your mug for so long)” Then from my back, I produced the damned mug and placed it at the top of his desk.

That was all I was able to say before his shoulders started quivering. I was facing his back so I had to adjust my position to see what his reaction was.

He was laughing at me. I was supposed to say, “That’s why I had to break this one” next, but nothing came out of my mouth and I started laughing too.

Then I apologized and said nothing of it after that.

While I was texting my friends about what happened, I accidentally sent one of the messages to him. I wanted to die! I had to apologize to him again for blabbing his affairs to my friends.

But his only reply was “Siya Nawa!”

On Monday, I gave him two mugs to replace the one I broke. The first one had the words “Conform and be dull” while the other changes color when you place hot water in it (the girl on the mug is stripped off her tiny bikini showing her breasts in all its glory). The cute mug sings too.

After thanking me for the bag, he told me that I was “beyond redemption,” obviously taking delight on my squirming and suffering.

God, I love him.
