I signed my probationary 6-month contract today. In the event that I won’t get elected to be a regular after that deadline, I’ve come up with my to-do after list.
1. Continue my studies. I finally decided to take Civil Law. If I’m going to study again, I better choose a course that would take all my time and energy. No point in leading a second college life. I think I’m too old for that, egad! And, at least, when I take Law, my tatay would be very pleased. If he’s happy, then I’ll be happy.
2. Put up my own ice cream parlor business.
3. Watch Meteor Garden VCDs for two weeks.
4. Do more F4 websites.
5. Take that vacation to Taiwan. I hope that by that time, they are still SARS-free.
6. When I’m there, I’ll find a way to stay longer in the country. I’ll apply as a production assistant for CETV, then I’ll get promoted as an executive producer. Then afterwards, they’d think that I’m funny because I got to my position without them understanding a single word that I’m saying, so they’ll give me a hosting job.
I’ll be their best and only non-Chinese speaking hostess, that the audience would love me. The Taiwanese people would rally and demand that I’d be paired with Jerry Yan, as it would be sooooooooo obvious that he and I would look good together. And it would be a shame to go against the natural flow of things.
If all these happen, I think I’ll be settled for life.
