I was so close to tears the other day because my mom wanted to give my F4 plates to a nice little girl who likes Vic Chou.

How my mom could even contemplate such a thing, I have no idea. So before the sweet girl (who is not related to me by blood) could even say “yes”, I screamed a resounding “no way”.

I told my mom that if she wanted to give them away, she’d have to find replacements. She’d also have to buy me plastic spoons, glasses, stationery, and other merchandise with the faces of all members of F4 plastered on it.

You ask me how can I be so cruel to a girl more than half of my age?

I’ll tell you what’s cruel.

It’s being 21-years old and still be gullible enough to be obsessed with a pop star whose language I can’t even understand if my life depended on it.

It’s recording every single episode of that goddamned telenovela so I can watch them again over the weekend, without commercial interruptions.

It’s the halting of the revolution of the earth every five-thirty in the afternoon.

It’s friends dropping emails showing concerns over my sanity.

It's subscribing to all F4 forums known to the web.

It’s raging a silent war against a classmate who criticized F4.

It’s being desperately serious in finding a job so I can buy a front row ticket for their concert in August.

It's blaming my parents why I wasn't born in Taiwan!

If that’s not cruel, my dear reader, I don’t know what is.
