I'm still here in Iloilo... This is the first time in a week that I was able to make use of an internet connection... My god... How I missed this feeling... I still have one week's worth of blog reading to catch up to...

I'm staying here for the another week or so... Job hunts and job interviews seem so far away...

I'm impressed, my lola has a satellite dish... And I was so scared I'll miss episodes of CSI...

No signals for my phone though. I have to climbed a small hill to be able to receive and send text messages...

God, I love it here...

Went to Boracay last week... Didn't expect much from the place, but when I got there, I was really really impressed... Thus, my mom and I both asked ourselves, "Bakit nga ba ngayon lang tayo nagpunta dito?"...

Yes ladies and gentlemen, my mom... She loved the place so much... She didn't complain about the expenses... In fact, she thought that people exaggerate when they say everything in the place was expensive.

Anyways, spent more time shopping (Yes, in this case I loved it) than in the water...

I discovered later that most of the businesspeople in Boracay is related one way or another to my relatives...

***

Went to Antique's cold springs... Actually, it was anti-climactic compared to Boracay... But loved it just the same... The water was really icy cold. People dropped a case of beer in the bottom of the water to cool it...

Dropped by in Rojas City to buy Tocinong Danggit and Daing... Yummy...

***

Refreshed ourselves in Kalibo, Aklan by eating halo-halo. Bought a sack of Talaba as pasalubong.

One of the most memorable trip that I made here in Iloilo was that we went mountain climbing. It was fun because my cousins and I all decided to wear red on that day (to attract humongous attention), but it was frustrating for me, because as soon as we reached the part where we were a few feet from the ground and the next step is slanted eighty-five degrees, I crawled my way to the top...

They made fun of me, because I was the only person on all fours, while they were all hopping and jumping around. My lowest moment was when I was a crying sissy begging my cousins that we find another route to the top, then a five-year old kid, whose house is at the top of the mountain, climbed easily and looked at me curiously like I'm the weirdest specimen she ever saw in her whole life.

But I'm so proud to cross the hanging bridge without so much as a complain on my part. In fact, I liked crossing it so much that I teased my cousins by jumping in the middle of the bridge... While they were all hanging on for dear life... Revenge is sweet...

Went to two falls in one day... Swam in a cold stream... Teased some wild white monkeys...

Joined the Pagtaltal last Good Friday... I hated it... it was so hooooooooot! I kept asking myself why I bothered to join the procession when I'm a Non-Practicing Catholic?

Then I saw my cousin play the part of Virgin Mary, then I remembered... For priceless Kodak moment.

Then we attended a grand reunion of our surname's namesake in Capiz... Turned out it was just a political propaganda... Wannabe politicians handed out posters with their autographs...

Ugh!...

All I wanted was to see Mark Navarra again to establish our blood connection, but he was nowhere...

We're planning to head for Guimaras this week... Can't wait to see the emerald sea again...

Lastly, I have 101 unread messages in my mailbox…

And one weird entry in my guestbook that definitely freaked me out…

my dear, dear gal... you should never post someone's full name, or suffer being detected... **toot (name of the person)** to be exact. ayan, i found out you're salivating over someone.. tsk tsk.. if i post ur URL in my blog.. he'll find out! ang saya!

Oh my God!

Pammy, I'll take your advice...
