Bazooka Fortune: Nobody can give you wiser advice than yourself.
***
This is my baby cousin…
He just graduated from Kindergarten 1…
And he didn’t receive any awards—academic or non-academic. But that’s okay, he gets my vote for the cutest and most adorable boy and child of the batch.
He said this onstage,
“I am Master Adonis Marion Solinap. When I grow up, I want to be a pilot.”
***
The kids in his graduation wanted to be a pilot, architect, doctor, dentist, engineer, policeman, and teacher. What? No writers?
Let’s wait until high school. I bet all of them would want to be one after composing two or three mushy love poems.
And also after they learned that being a writer is the coolest job in the world.

Yesterday, I
talked to all my friends from FOX. All except for
Patwee. But that’s okay, Patwee is currently in Singapore, so she’s excused…
God, I really, really miss them bad. Okay, without permission, I am going to post an update on what’s going on with their life.
Leidy is happy with the news that our Most Hated Classmate is facing the possibility of not graduating this March.
Shayn is realizing that call centers should be the last option, not the first. So she’s going to pursue a career in disc jockeying and modeling.
Kathy also missed me. Her asshole of a brother is still an asshole, but she loves him so. And her parents’ solution to tension is to play badminton.
Gabby is sleeping, reading, sleeping, reading, and refuses to go out. He’s not in the mood for anything. He still haven’t texted Eunice. But he’s not grumpy.
Pammy is still as loud as ever. Still worried (needlessly, I think) about graduating. And still the bringer of the juiciest gossip about JournSoc.
Patwee is in Singapore. Out of Coverage Area. Period.

This day long telephone marathon lead to my mother’s drinking spree with my
tatay. After three shots of Chivas Regal, she’s crawling, laughing, and asking for a high five from my father.
And she kept on saying between her giggles,
”Tsismosa anak mo!”
