If I peer out of the house, all I would see is flood. Water level on the street is as high as my thigh, and still rising.
I’m now thankful for my mother’s panicking. Now all we’re doing is waiting for icky, unhygienic H2O to walk into our home. We’re also waiting for lights to come out. How can one family remain cool, calm, and collected while waiting for disaster to happen? I don’t know… but we’re doing just fine…
But what if my mother didn’t persuade me to transfer our car into a higher place? Nasisira na siguro ang ulo ko ngayon.
If the flood caught this house by surprise, my books will be dry, my computer will be safe, but I’ll be walking around the house with a wet underwear.

Leidy texted to tell me that all this rain reminds her of Noah’s ark. Only, she doesn’t know why.
I told her that I do. I’m Noah. Our house is the ark. And the water that surrounds it is the Great Deluge that submerged the earth for forty days and nights.
