My future is fuzzier than usual…
The fact is, I really don’t know what to do right now…
My short-term goal is clean my room. And when I say clean, I mean doing more than sweep the floor. I badly need to get rid of photocopied research papers (and notes) from school. I have two boxes full of them.
Another short-term goal is to have fun this month. I mean really really enjoy the freedom. My family is planning on island-hopping this month, so I’m just one ship away from my goal. I’m still convincing Zhara to come with me.
After Holy Week, my friends and I are going to Vigan. Finally…
Then the last of my short-term goal is to spend more time with my bestfriend. Who’s simply lost to me because every time I try calling her landline, a strange lady answers and tells me that I got the wrong number.

It’s my long-term goals that scare me.
I want to find a day (or night) job that I’ll be willing to do for the next five years. Any job that involves writing, photography, advertising, and television production would be wonderful.
But right now, I’m burned out. I’m following Leidy’s example. I’m going to have a one-month Sabbatical. I will not apply for any company at least until May.
Number two, get pregnant on my 29th birthday.
Number three, geez, see, I don’t have number three. Something must be really wrong with me.

Tatay: ‘Nak sino nga yung journ na nagsalita nung graduation niyo? (Who was that journ graduate who gave a speech on your graduation?)
Me: Ha? ‘ Di ko kilala eh, di ako nakikinig eh. (I don’t know, I wasn’t listening)
Tatay: Abogado yun diba? (He’s a lawyer right?)
Me: Ewan. ( I don’t know)
Tatay: Nakita mo yung kalbo sa party ng pinsan mo? (You saw that bald guy in your cousin’s party?)
Me: Oo.(Yes)
Tatay: Nagrereview siya ngayon para sa bar exams (He’s reviewing for the bar exams).
Me: Talaga?(Really?)
Tatay: Diba taga-UST ang nag-top sa bar exams ngayong taon? (The person who topped the bar exam this year came from UST right?)
Okay, tatay, I can take a hint… You want me to proceed to law. But you see, I don’t think the law wants me to proceed.
If you really really want me to study again, support me to take another useless course like photography or literature. That won’t make me rich, but that would make me happy.
