Our photography teacher told us that the frame cuts an image from its environment and that the viewfinder has the power to emphasize, exaggerate, and make the ordinary extraordinary.
That is the best lecture I received, so far, for this semester.

A friend asked me to write her yearbook write-up. I didn't want to take this assignment for various reasons. First, I don't know how they do their yearbooks in UP. I've seen ours, it’s very formal. I’ve seen Ateneo’s, it’s very informal.
Second, I haven’t been with her for the past four years. She’s my friend, I love her, I’ll climb mountains for her, but I no longer know her likes, dreams, etc. And I don’t want to insult her intelligence by creating an image of her from my imagination.
But I will do it because I still have a very clear picture of how and why she became my friend. I hope I do you justice, Faye.
